Use the John Doe image as your profile picture and invite a few friends to do the same. It gets harder to laugh off when you can’t remember who changed theirs first.

    Save the image. You know the face by now.

  2. Change your profile

    Let him turn up in a few more friends lists.

  3. Bring someone with you

    Send the picture to your friends and ask them to join.

Back in 2017, players warned each other to stay off Roblox on March 18. John Doe was supposed to return that day and take their accounts. Even people who didn’t believe it were checking his profile.

Years later, the name still turns up whenever someone remembers an old server, a strange friend request, or a game they were too scared to open.

In our version of the story, he wants you to keep playing and keep inviting your friends, until nobody thinks to ask why you all look like him.

They thought John Doe had found their server.

On March 18, SandwichesANDmilk posted that someone had entered their Roblox server and tried to add them. Another user asked for a name. The poster answered: John Doe.

Replies called the story fake. SandwichesANDmilk came back anyway, linking account badges and insisting the player had been in their server. The warning was already there for anyone reading the thread.

There’s another spawn beside yours in the old save. Someone gave it your username, and you don’t remember doing that.
